The History of Dreamland

In 1958 Big Daddy John Bishop had a dream and in that dream he was led to open a neighborhood cafe. Dreamland Bar-B-Que opened selling our legendary ribs and sauce in the The Jerusalem Heights area of Tuscaloosa. This coincidentally was also the same year Paul “Bear” Bryant began coaching at The University of Alabama. Dreamland ribs became part of the game day experience in Tuscaloosa. Big Daddy John Bishop later partnered with Dr. Bobby Underwood and opened a Birmingham location on the South side of Birmingham. Dreamland now has ten locations across the Southeast and is served in various SEC stadiums in the concession areas. Our delicious ribs and food can be purchased online and shipped all other the United States. Our goal has always been to serve the highest quality product at a fair price while delivering exceptional customer service. Dreamland Bar B Que ribs- ” Ain’t Nothing Like ‘Em Nowhere!”
